Songbird iPod Device Support is an free open source media player powered by mozilla. It looks like a combination of iTunes and Firefox. It uses mozilla's XML User Interface Language and firefox's rendering engine, but provides the user's music library and additional functionality like iTunes.
It will mount your iPod in Songbird, allowing you to play songs from your iPod library and playlists.
